![]() I find this very strange for such a strategically important product. I don’t see how anyone can rely on OneDrive for cross-machine file syncing and I have no confidence that what is working today will not stop working tomorrow. Overall I am very disappointed with Microsoft because now they appear to have completely given up on me and therefore OneDrive is now useless for my purposes. ![]() I feel that if I knew something of what the OneDrive setup is doing during this initialising process I could make some progress with the problem but Microsoft do not seem willing to tell me anything about the internal functions of the app, or what it is relying on for this initialisation phase. I have also uninstalled all anti-virus and other protection software (as requested by Microsoft) but this did not help either. I have started up the Mac in Safe Mode but the behaviour is just the same. And it works fine on my Windows machine too. I have another machine that is running Monterey and OneDrive is (so far) working fine on that one. I have migrated that user account to a different Mac machine and OS (Monterey) but the problem migrated across as well. If I set up a new user profile on the same machine linked to the same Microsoft account, the set up works fine, so the problem appears to be related to my specific user account. After a while of going round this loop I have previously seen a popup that says ‘There is a problem with OneDrive, please contact support’, although I have not seen this for a while now. ![]() The way the problem currently manifests itself is that if I run the OneDrive app, it shows the Set Up screen and I sign in to my Microsoft account and then go through a series of windows, choose my OneDrive folder, click through a few more windows, then get to the final screen and click on ‘Open OneDrive Folder’, at which point the OneDrive icon disappears from the menu bar and after a few seconds it relaunches and takes me back to the original login screen. I have done everything I can think of and that Microsoft have suggested I try. I have been in touch with Microsoft Support (including ‘OneDrive Escalations’) but they have been unable to help me. The only thought I had was that there was a Catalina security update which might have triggered something, but given what I have tried since that does not seem credible. I do not know what changed on my machine between it working and not. I notice from other posts that other users have also had problems. I have had a problem for over two months now whereby OneDrive has stopped working on my Intel Mac Mini. ![]()
