That official response states that they were responding to user feedback and had investigated and identified the problem within 3 hours and were addressing it to make sure none of the boards/printers that were in the supply pipeline were affected. This is the circuit that is responsible for the severely burned boards as documented by numerous CR-6 SE owners and verified by Creality's official "event declaration" released on September 1, 2020. The most obvious difference between the two versions is that the original 24V to 12V regulator circuit has been eliminated on the newer design. According to Creality's statement on their own website forum, the first batch of KS machines started shipping on or about July 14, 2020, a full month after V4.5.3 of the board was done. Note that those dates are only 3 weeks apart with the newer version being done on June 12, 2020. I could be wrong but I think it is reasonable to assume that they are likely the dates that the designs were completed and released internally within Creality. I find the dates on these two versions of boards to be quite interesting. So I think that the most pressing issues are probably (being) resolved now by Creality □ The new CR-6 SE also has the fixed switch, which has three pins. It still had the v4.5.2 board - the v4.5.3 board I mention above I received and installed today. I also got a new CR-6 SE from Creality, according to the serial number from November. A SGM6232YPS8 that was previously near the DWIN touch screen cable port has now been moved to the area where the fuse is located.MPKJ9447 chip (at the place of many of the burn marks) has been removed - this was the step down conversion I guess. Stepper drivers still in legacy mode though - and motors sound a bit louder to me.It has extra expansion ports - a total of 2x 3.3V and 2x 5V.I think they have removed the 24V to 12V step-down circuit for the stepper motors. The photos below show the old and new board. This is a new motherboard revision - already found in the CR-6 MAX too - but apparently now available for the CR-6 SE. So some might recall my motherboard died a while ago and I was sent a new motherboard by Creality.
